Who is Annie Nichols?Artist. Food stylist. Cookery writer.Art making. Food making. Pictures taken. Annie originally trained and worked as a chef in hotels and restaurants here in the UK, Switzerland and Australia. She subsequently became a free-lance food stylist, styling food for leading books and magazines, and working with some of the world's top cooks and chefs. She is a cookery writer too, and for 3½ years was the columnist of Cheats Dinner Party for Stella magazine in the Sunday Telegraph. Her fifth cook book Dinner at Mine (Kyle Books 2011), is a collection of fifty, of those 3-course, seasonal menus featured in her column, which she styled and photographed herself. For twice a year, over a period of ten years, she also travelled to South-West Sicily to teach Sicilian cookery. Then back in the U.K. she has taught art and cookery to primary school children to help facilitate and inspire learning in English and Maths. In between all of this, she also studied a B.A in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art (University of the Arts London), where she specialised in photography, video and conceptual art and is now a practicing artist.
